Two more people have been arrested in connection with a robbery at Heathrow Airport in which over twenty individuals were injured by what is thought to be an irritant spray, as stated by law enforcement.
A 24-year-old man, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area for suspected theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested for suspected conspiracy to commit robbery. They both are still being held, the force said.
These detentions follow an investigation into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the attack, a pair of female travelers had stolen from them their luggage after getting out of a car park lift.
A three-year-old girl was among the injured in the event. Five people were taken to the hospital for medical care and were later discharged.
Police detained a man in his thirties on suspicion of theft and assault near the location. He has since been released pending further inquiries as the investigation proceeds.
Police were alerted at about 8:10 in the morning GMT after reports came in regarding a number of individuals hurt by a noxious substance thought to be an irritant spray.
The assault - an event that police said was isolated and not being treated as terrorism - caused delays to rail services and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 car park for a short time.
